Internal Bleeding Spreads Through Kasperak's Body STANFORD, Calif. (P) Mike Kasperak's condition continued "extremely critical" yesterday as internal bleeding spread throughout body. He received more than 20 pints of blood in transfusions since undergoing surgery Friday. A bulletin from the Stanford Medical Center said doctors suspect that Kasperak, who has lived with a transplanted heart since Jan. 6, "may be developing an cverwhelming blood infection." "The patient is receiving continuous transfusions of blood and plasma and massive doses of antibiotics and steroids," the bulletin said.
